HKSS hosted the E-Business and Entrepreneurship Speaker Event on July 23, at Orsini Lounge and the event was attended by over 35 participants. We are honored to have Dr. Tommy Ho, Chairman and Founder of Dodopal Holdings Limited and Mr. Derek Cheung, CEO of Hong Kong Esports Limited as our speakers to share their successful experiences in entrepreneurship and expert knowledge in e-business sector.

During the speech, Dr. Tommy Ho shared his vision of starting the Dodopal platform in China and the advantage of it, especially by saving avoidable costs and making peoples’ lives easier. Mr. Derek Cheung introduced his e-Sports (electronic sports) business, explained how he came up with the idea to create an e-business and its current business developments with the advanced use of e-marketing tools.

According to the two speakers, there are four key ingredients for entrepreneurial success: a vision to recognize a business opportunity, be innovative and courageous, trial & error and good networking. The part on e-business and e-marketing brought about the ideas of making use of social media and forum for soft-sell advertising of intended products. These relatively new approaches of promoting businesses are useful tools for youngsters who aspire to be an entrepreneur.
