HKSS held its first cocktail gathering in the evening on June 10, at Illusion in Lan Kwai Fong. There were nearly 70 persons who attended the gathering. The guests were engaged in conversations most of the time, very much enjoying the occasion.


Guests were social networking with like-minded individuals.

The main objective for the cocktail gathering is for like-minded talented individuals to do some networking and to invite talents from various industries into HKSS, in view of contributing to the sustainable development of the Hong Kong society. At the same time, we also celebrated the occasion of the inauguration of the HKSS, sharing the happiness with everyone. The cocktail gathering started as guests came along. Then, our CEO Dr. Lianne Lam and our MC of the day Mr. Eric Cheng came forward to give a sharing, introducing the belief and mission of HKSS – engage people in positive thinking to face the problems and challenges in Hong Kong, and to provide practical solutions to contribute to the sustainable development of Hong Kong.

During the sharing, it has been stated that despite having room for improvement, Hong Kong is actually in a relatively more stable situation compared to the few past decades, as issues like corruption, low education level generally, plummeting of stock market, uncertainties surrounding the handover of HK to China etc. are all things in the past now. However, the negative voices and social unrest in the society is growing, with all complaints but no real practical solutions. In view of this, HKSS hopes to bring about positive thinking and message, to remind everyone to cherish and make good use of the advantage of stability, combining with our own ability and creativity so as to contribute to the sustainable development in Hong Kong.
