Prof. Tony S.K. Mok, Professor of Clinical Oncology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong was invited to deliver a speech on “What is stress and how do I manage it?” in Yat Tung Heen on 27 August 2014. He shared with our guests the reasons why we would have stress and how to handle it properly.

Our speaker, Prof. Tony S.K. Mok explained why we would have stress.
Prof. Mok explained that stress is part of our lives and always exists. There are both internal (e.g. physical appearance and self-expectation) and external stress (e.g. work, people and finance). Without effective stress management, uncontrolled stress may result in physical health hazard to induce mental illness.

Our guests had a wonderful evening with our speaker.
Prof. Mok’s stress management strategies are (1) “identify stress and remove it” (2) “Identify stress and change it” (3) “value adjustment”. In his concluding remarks, he stated that it is essential to strike a balanced value of life between money and power; and love and companion.
